Trachtenstrip on the road

When Trachtenstrip photographer Andi traveled through Asia in 2016, he actually carried two Dirndl dresses in his backpack and simply asked girls on the way whether he could take pictures of them!

He then had to deal with such questions as whether you could take erotic photos on the beach on a Muslim island like Lombok, or how to address women of foreign cultures and explain to them what you want from them WITHOUT beeing slapped in the face. Added to this was the search for and finding suitable locations, which often required days of exploring with all kinds of motorcycles. But it also offered a wonderful opportunity to get to know the country and its people better. And then of course there was the supreme discipline: to make the Dirndl tasty for the girls. Because the Bavarian costume is not even as well known in Asia as you might think at first due to Oktoberfest and Co. … All that worked amazingly well and Andi was able to bring home a whole series of wonderful pictures.

Let yourself be seduced by Far Eastern beauties and open-minded backpackers from all over the world who wear a Dirndl for the first time ever. And of course, Andi could not resist one or the other experiment.
